Good TImes With Good Friends

We went to supper with a group of my good friends that I used to work with the other night, and as always had a great time. The first one is of my friend Jodie's daughter, Katie giving a cheesy smile. Aubrey eating Katie's cheeseburger...I guess she didn't get enough of her dinner that I fed her just before this was taken. They look so big sitting at the table like that...makes me sad a bit.

The next day we met friends at the park and they went on the swings for the first time. They both really loved them...I was a little surprised that Spencer did, but he was all smiles.

Trip to Klamath Falls

The kids and I took a little trip down to Klamath Falls to visit our friends and family down there this past week. It was so nice to spend some time with Mom and Dad...very relaxing! Here are some pictures from our trip. Nana was clipping her nails and Aubrey got interested and ended up getting her nails clipped too. Mom and Dad had this little chair for the grandkids...very fun for Aubrey who loves to sit like a big girl.

The kids had an Avon book of Mom's that got taken apart and spread ALL over their living room...they played with those pages for all three days!
Not much to say about this one...he is a goof!

We went to my friend Christina's house for a visit and the kids played ball with her Mom, "Nana Michelle". Good times!!

Spencer brushing his hands off after playing in the dirt...no reason to get too dirty!

Playing in the dirt and pulling weeds for "Auntie Christina". I know that some of those weeds were flowers, but she said that she didn't care. (Thank goodness for great friends!)

She was so happy playing in the dirt...I keep saying dirt, but it was more like mud because the sprinklers had just turned off as we were getting to her house. Needless to say, they got a bath that night at Auntie's house!

This is how they slept at Nana and Grandpa's house. They fit in the playpen pretty good, and slept better this time around, which I was thankful for! It took Mom pointing it out to me, but notice Aubrey's diaper...I guess she felt like she didn't need it anymore! Thankfully she stayed asleep while I refastened it, or we would have had a big mess in the morning!

Father's Day and New Sandbox

We had a great Father's Day weekend, Dean was able to come home for a quick visit before having to go back to work today. I got the kids pictures taken to surprise Dean and the kids love to look at them. Spencer may look like his Grandpa Russ, but Aubrey shares his love for corn on the cob! She grabbed the cob and started in...with her one tooth!
Dean was teaching the kids how to pick strawberries. It didn't take Aubrey long to figure out the best way to do it was to have Daddy pick the strawberries and she could eat them out of the bowl.
Unfortunately, after she took a bite out of one of the strawberries she would put it back in the bowl.

Spencer took his lesson seriously, he went behind Dean and pulled the green strawberries that Dean left on the plants...it was cute.
These were taken a few days ago when the weather was actually hot out. She knows how to climb up on the stairs outside, but doesn't know how to get down yet, so there she sat until she got bored.
I got them a little sandbox and they had a pretty good time once they figured out what they were supposed to do in it.

Dean's Father's Day Surprise

For Father's Day I took the kids, with the help of my SIL Julie, to get their pictures taken. They did ok, as long as Julie and I were right there to hold them as soon as the shot was taken. We were able to get a few good shots though. I love this one with their Crosson Creations t-shirts on...gifts from their Grandma and Grandpa Crosson's church in Florida. I have had them in the closet since they were born and for some reason had it in my head that they were size 2T...well they were 12 months! It still fit Spencer good enough to get a cute picture anyway, but I almost missed the photo opportunity! She wouldn't take her finger out of her mouth without crying, so we figured to let it go, and it turned out kind of cute. She does it all the time, so it is kind of fitting for her to do it in the picture too.

They were a bit more relaxed by the time we changed their clothes and went for a more dressed up look...not big smiles, but big enough! The top one is my favorite of them all...very sweet!

Toothbrushes

We got the kids toothbrushes to get them started keeping their chompers clean. It is kind of funny because in Aubrey's case it really is a tooth brush because she still only has one tooth. Anyway, here are some pictures of them practicing good oral hygiene! The first one is also Aubrey's first nightgown...she is just too cute if I do say so myself!
Aubrey with her new toothbrush. They are still learning how to clean rather than chew the brush...it is going to take some practice!Spencer almost looks pained in this shot, but he loves his toothbrush...I took this shot this morning. I was in the kitchen making breakfast when I heard giggling coming from the living room. They were playing in the dog bed and having a good time being goofy. This is what they did after the flash went off...I have a bunch of nuts, but they keep me laughing! :)

Using Spoons and Bathtime!

The kids have entered into another phase of their independence...they no longer like me to feed them. Aubrey still will let me, but Spencer keeps turning his head and won't let me put the food in, but if I give him a spoon with food on it he will feed himself! So, I got some bowls that suction to the trays in an attempt to keep the amount of food on the floor to a minimum...we'll see how it all works! The first two are from breakfast the other morning with yogurt...I would load up the spoon and they did the rest! They actually did pretty good! The second try with the spoons was at dinner tonight and turkey pot pie. They both loved it and did great once I loaded up the spoons. Spencer has always been the one who showed the interest in doing it, but Aubrey really did a good job tonight with her spoon too. They are getting to be big kids way to fast!I was trying to get pictures of them playing on the floor this evening, but when they see the camera they always come over to me and stand there and try to get the camera. I got a goofy smile type thing from Spencer, but Aubrey gave me another one of her beautiful smiles. She is finally starting to smile better in pictures again! Spencer waiting at the gate for his bath to begin. Once they see me go down the hall and start the water they crowd the gates waiting for me to let them in! That's my boy! And my girl!
They love bath night!
